About US

FLAnimation Film Fest began when a couple friends, Annette and Sean, who used to hang out at Creative Veins in downtown Jacksonville,  decided to start an animated film festival. Having been frustrated with how some festivals run (no running times posted, abstract films without context, thin submission categories) we wanted to make a cool, entertaining festival of animation with the audience in mind. We wanted FLanimation to be a fest that offered the best in each category by artists who care about their craft.

Sean left the festival in 2021, and Annette stayed on as Creative Director and is currently planning the next season!
